Bottomless Brunch - Lockdown Style
Apr 8, 2020 10:41:08 AM / by Amy Johnson posted in lifestyle, food, brunch, Dublin weekend, stay at home, eggs
One thing I know we are all missing is brunch. Nothing beats a Saturday or Sunday morning, meeting up with your mates (sometimes hungover), and devouring a plate of eggs benny. Even better, nothing beats a bottomless brunch on a Saturday, getting the drinks flowing at 11am. Just because we are on lockdown, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy brunch! Follow our simple recipe for delicious Eggs Benedict, get your friends on a zoom call, crack open a bottle of prosecco (if that’s the kind of brunch you’re looking for) and it’s just as good! (nearly).

Hi, it’s me, the waitress at your local restaurant. I have had the (mis)fortune to work in this industry for over 5 years and noticed there's a lot of misconceptions around the topic. Even though I think everyone should work in hospitality or retail once in their life to have some perspective and respect, I've put together the basics for you. Here's everything your restaurant server wants you to know.

Top three food places in Dublin to fulfill your vegan desires
Mar 1, 2020 4:06:43 PM / by Muireann O'Gorman posted in Veganism, Vegan Food, Dublin, fitness, food, vegan restaurants
As a passionate vegan food lover in my mid-twenties, I have had the pleasure of being able to experience many delicious restaurants to fulfill my food desires. When I decided to become a vegan about four years ago, I decided that I would do some research on where to go to get the best vegan friendly food in Dublin and on the outskirts of Dublin. I began my research by hoarding Instagram with vegan hashtags and to my surprise many restaurants appeared on my feed offering vegan friendly options on menus, and better still some restaurants only served vegan dishes to their customers. After conducting my research, I realised that I was never going to be stuck for vegan food in Dublin. The restaurants are The Happy Pear, Umi Falafel and Urbanity and I will now discuss why you should go and give these restaurants your business if you haven’t already! These are my top three places to go for vegan friendly food in Dublin. Each of these places are either very high up on Irish influencer's lists of places to eat in Dublin, are either very reasonably priced or are trendy places to eat in Dublin today for those that are vegan food lovers.
The Ultimate Guide to Perfect, Fluffy, Steamy... Persian Rice

My mother has never allowed pre-packaged minute rice in our house. Nor could she ever want to. Nor would she ever want to. Nor should she ever want to.
To say it goes against every fiber in her body may sound extreme, but it's true. As someone who grew up in Iran, Persian rice was a staple at nearly ever meal -- literally and figuratively the foundation of practically every dish.

In recent years, the idea of healthy eating and looking after ourselves has become increasingly popular. However, how many of us actually are aware of the important benefits that eating healthy brings, or are we just being drawn in with the trend? This has been a question on my mind recently, due to recent shows, such as Operation Transformation being on TV. It is a hot topic at the moment! I have therefore decided to share eight (surprising) benefits of eating healthily (and in simple terms for those of us who are not dieticians by nature!)

My trip to Thailand was the most wonderful experience of my life. It was the first time I had ever left Europe, my first long haul flight and the first time I truly learned about and embraced different culture. In Thailand I island hopped, partied until sunrise at the infamous Koh Phangan Full Moon Party as well as explored cities and rainforest too. It is a trip which I will never forget. The vibrant, beautiful ‘land of smiles’ truly lived up to its name and the expectations I had created for it from hearing many other people’s south east Asia Travel stories. The majestic, breath taking temples and pristine waters which look like a filtered photograph are truly amazing.
