Changing jobs or going back to education as a mature student in your late twenties can be a huge challenge and worry for a lot of people contemplating it. In summer 2019 I did both of those things, joining the Bord Bia International Graduate Programme, undertaking an MSc in Global Business Practice in UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School alongside getting hands-on experience of working in the Irish food, drink and horticulture industry. In the following blog I have set out my experience so far – from money to work and education – and why I am delighted with my decision to take that step.

My Study Abroad Experience in Hong Kong

I spent the spring semester of 2019 on exchange in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which is in fact located in Hong Kong, a ‘special administrative region’ of China. I made the call to do the exchange during the previous summer, with the prospect of jetting off to somewhere completely different culture-wise on a pass/fail system being too attractive to turn down. It’s hard to pinpoint why exactly Hong Kong was the destination of choice, but I think it’s perfect for anyone looking to venture in Asia while still keeping hold of certain Western aspects of life.

Travelling has become an interest and passion of many young people in today’s world. Recent modern developments in transportation such as airplanes, trains and even motorways have opened the accessibility of the world, especially in regions such as Continental Europe and North America. In this blog post, I will be focussing on how nightlife and food & drink have become substantial influencers on location choices, as well as giving example on some of the worlds best spots for a night on the town, grab a bite to eat or catch up over few drinks.VgjB
Wandering the West Coast

When contemplating a trip to the West Coast of America, the following stereotypes might cross your mind:
- Celebrities are spotted on a daily basis.
- The majority of people are superficial, their religion being plastic surgery and pilates classes.
- It's populated by liberal, vegan environmentalists.
Although due to media these stereotypes (and many more) are interwoven into the West Coast's persona, this post will demonstrate how you or I could peruse the West Coast without flashing a Gucci bag or being force-fed a paleo diet; on a student budget. This post will analyse how to best spend the month of August in the West Coast.

Top three food places in Dublin to fulfill your vegan desires

As a passionate vegan food lover in my mid-twenties, I have had the pleasure of being able to experience many delicious restaurants to fulfill my food desires. When I decided to become a vegan about four years ago, I decided that I would do some research on where to go to get the best vegan friendly food in Dublin and on the outskirts of Dublin. I began my research by hoarding Instagram with vegan hashtags and to my surprise many restaurants appeared on my feed offering vegan friendly options on menus, and better still some restaurants only served vegan dishes to their customers. After conducting my research, I realised that I was never going to be stuck for vegan food in Dublin. The restaurants are The Happy Pear, Umi Falafel and Urbanity and I will now discuss why you should go and give these restaurants your business if you haven’t already! These are my top three places to go for vegan friendly food in Dublin. Each of these places are either very high up on Irish influencer's lists of places to eat in Dublin, are either very reasonably priced or are trendy places to eat in Dublin today for those that are vegan food lovers.
