Top 5 Spotify Playlists

Apr 18, 2020 9:54:49 AM / by Aidan Hetherington

While on lockdown everyone has plenty of time to listen to music, so I have compiled my top 5 playlists on Spotify. I have selected playlists to go alongside an accompanying activity, such as working out. The playlists are selected based on relevance to the chosen activity, not necessarily the 5 greatest playlists of all time, since everyone’s music taste is different. The list is also in no particular order.

1. Tropical House

Consisting of chilled out electronic dance hits, this playlist is perfect for relaxing in sunny weather. If you close your eyes it come sometimes feel like you’re sitting at an Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza. With 198 songs in the playlist, there more than enough music to keep the vibes going.

2. Revision Ballads

A less glamorous playlist, consisting of pop ballads and acoustic covers, this playlist is highly effective for studying. The slow and calming nature of the songs is something that I find increases my productivity. I’m not claiming that this makes study or work fun, but it does make it easier.

3. Rap Caviar

Living up to its name, Rap Caviar brings you the finest new rap music from major artists. This playlist is suitable for many activities, from chilling at home to working out, it really just depends on your mood.

4. Beast Mode

While the previous playlist ‘Rap Caviar’ can be used for working out, ‘Beast Mode’ must be used for working out. This high-octane playlist will put you in the right mood to crush your workout, weather it is lifting heavy weights, going for a long-distance run, and anything between.

5. Massive Pop Remixes

This playlist takes established pop songs and gives them an EDM remix. Rest assured the remixes are quite natural so the tone and feel of the original song is maintained. This playlist is great for any party, maybe you can use it when quarantine eventually ends!
