We all have an idea of the foods we hate, so here is a list of unpopular foods that you should maybe give a second chance because they are actually good for you!

While running off to your nearest gym helps, in order to get that perfect shape, the fitness begins at home!

Many people claim to hate the taste of mushrooms and I could not agree more! However if you can see past this hurdle, huge health benefits are awaiting you. Mushrooms are a great source of protein alongside being enriched in B vitamins. They are also the only vegetable to contain Vitamin D. Try using it as an ingredient in a recipe to disguise the taste.

2. Marmite

Marmite is famous for having so many haters. Not only is it low in calories and fat but similar to mushrooms it is packed with B vitamins which is create for energy and the nervous system. Marmite also includes, niacin, riboflavin and thiamine, as well as magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron and selenium, all of which are essential for good health.While the taste may be too strong, try using it as a spread or by diluting it in a savory sauce. It will be worth it!

3. Avocados

Avocados' weird texture can make it a handful for a lot of people. This healthy fruit is extremely high in vitamin E. It also contains potassium and essential fatty acids leading to great skin and a more healthy heart. Avocado is the fruit of the avocado tree,  known as Persea americana. This fruit is prized for its high nutrient value. It is the main ingredient in guacamole.

If you want to give avocado go, why not mix it into a guacamole dip and serve it with pita bread or even use it as a alternative to mayonnaise. Being healthy has never been so easy.

This vegetable can pack quite a crunch and for many that is something to avoid. This crunchy veg is perfect for fitness. It is packed with vitamin K and potassium which is low in calories and can help lower blood pressure. To get healthy, have some celery in a blended soup before you exercise. Broccoli has been ruined for us ever since we were kids and this can continue into adulthood. The benefits outweigh the cons though as it is a great source of vitamins K and C while also providing potassium, fiber. Vitamin C helps cuts and wounds heal and protects the body from damaging free radicals. Try cooking broccoli lightly with olive oil and seasoning to create the perfect flavorful meal companion.
