Walking around with a coffee in hand, the smell of freshly risen bread straight from the oven, the acoustic melody of the busker, the site of dogs playing, and a market like nothing else, it has to be the Dun Laoghaire Market.

Sundays are designed to be taken just that bit slower. The sun seems to be brighter, the coffee tastes that bit smoother, everyone seems happier, more relaxed and it is just a simpler day. It is a day where dogs are everywhere, kids are cycling or scooting along, and everyone is soaking up the last bit of the weekend.
Couple that with the fabulous Dun Laoghaire People’s Park Market and you’ve got yourself a perfect Sunday, every Sunday. I often go down there to enjoy a coffee as the dogs play together, as the busker sets the mood with some acoustic bliss, and where I can get some REALLY good food. There is a bakery on site where you get the most amazing fresh bread straight from the oven.
The Market itself:
The market is open every Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm in People’s Park, Dun Laoghaire – which is just a short walk from the DART station and super close to the East Pier (which is perfect for a Sunday morning stroll). The park boasts amazing Victorian architecture, loads of grass and amazing views. There are over 50 vendors there from arts and crafts, to hot food, baked goods and coffee.
If this sounds like something that tickles your fancy, then be sure to check out the vendors, dogs and atmosphere at the Dun Laoghaire Markets every Sunday.
