When it comes to a finding a great spacious pub in Dublin for some after work pint with your mates or big get togethers where the music doesn’t drown each other’s voices, the choices are pretty limited. Likewise, for beer enthusiast and those of us with more adventurous taste buds, the drink selection typically offered in Dublin pubs can leave us with a bit more variety to be desired. Luckily, I’m here to tell you about Dublin’s newest hot spot where you can have your cake (or beer for this matter) and drink it too!

Brewdog Dublin Outpost
Brewdog Dublin Outpost opened their doors last December just in time for the holiday season. The bar has a max capacity of 1,200 humans (and pups!). Yes, the bar is dog friendly, sports four Olympic sized Shufl Board tables, fitted with four projector screens and a heated terrace matched with plenty of open outdoor seating for those warm Dublin summers!

Their cicerone certified bar team is trained to guide you through your beer journey and help you select the right beer for you from their 30 daily rotating beer taps comprised of local and imported independent craft beers. You can also book yourself and your friends in for Brewdog Beer School currently offered in English or Spanish with the hopes of expanding into other languages to serve Dublin’s diverse community.

Brewdog as a Brand
Brewdog is an independent craft beer brewery founded in Aberdeen, Scotland back in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie. Their mission is to “Make others as passionate about great craft beer as we are.” and so far, they’ve been steadily keeping with that goal. Brewdog is now the biggest independent craft brewery in Europe and have been aggressively expanding their brand worldwide. Much of that success can be attributed to their passionate global community and their crowd-funding movement, Equity for Punks. Brewdog Dublin Outpost is the brewery’s 100th bar to open globally. “The management team are totally surprised with the incredible opening and following success.” explains Deputy General Manager Paul Markey, “We are over exceeding expectations and the figures are outstanding especially for a non-Irish company with competitors that have the backing of big brands such as Guinness and Heineken.”

While a bit out of the way for some Dubliners, Brewdog Dublin Outpost is definitely a spot worth the trek. With plenty of drink and food options along with a variety of games, it is enough to keep the experience new and exciting every time!
