1) TUI Airlines

TUI are ranked as the number 1 most eco-friendly airline thanks to their ‘Better holidays, Better World’ sustainability strategy. They have multiple measures in place to help reduce their carbon footprint including fuel efficiency programmes and they always strive to be Europe’s most carbon-efficient airline and they are leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of their goals. 2.) LATAM Airlines Brasil

LATAM Airlines Brasil have identified 4 key areas in order to be more environmentally sustainable. The 4 key areas are: Carbon footprint, eco-efficiency, alternative sustainable energy, and standards & certifications (SGA).

They hope both mitigate risk and look for new opportunities in their approach to climate change and their own sustainability. They look to use alternative fuels, be more co-efficient and reduce their carbon footprint. 3.) China West Air

Being environmentally conscious is embedded in their culture and this is hallmarked by their cabin symbol of ‘advocating environmental protection to take good care of our home’. They place a huge emphasis on minimizing their waste output and they even give lessons in eco-friendliness to further show their dedication to the world we live in. 4.) TUIfly

TUIfly is a subsidiary of TUI based in Germany. They received top marks in the 2017 Atmosfair Airline Index. They too follow the “Better Holiday, Better World campaign” that TUI follow. Currently in 2020, the plan seeks to reduce the environmental impact of holidays by reducing their carbon intensity by 10%. They seek to create a positive change for people as well as communities by allowing more people to partake in ‘greener and fairer’ holidays. They also want to make a global change by investing in good causes and making use of their TUI Care Foundation. Finally, they want it to be built from their staff member up. 5.) Transavia France

In June 2019, Transavia and OpenAirlines who are a global provider of solutions to fuel efficiency signed an agreement to launch a real time and in-flight fuel efficiency solution. This highlights Transavia’s efforts to improve their global footprint as live guidance on how to reduce you carbon footprint during a flight would move the aviation industry forward leaps and bounds to becoming for environmentally aware.
