Nowadays, living a "healthy" lifestyle has become a trend that many of us have internalized thanks to all the food choices, sports activities and many more benefits that the markets currently offer. Anyway, are people really aware of what that means or is it just a way of following those trends?

One of the main issues to work on in order to achieve a healthy lifestyle is food, since it is the nutrients that provide us with enough energy to carry out our daily activities. Therefore, to be healthy and maintain optimal performance every day, it is necessary to follow a healthy and balanced diet.

A correct diet can save us from numerous problems, since for example many illnesses are directly related to a bad diet. Therefore, to achieve this it is very important to be aware of what we eat as it is the first step to start modifying bad habits.

In addition, there are currently an infinite number of different diets or products that allow us to maintain a balanced diet and that contribute to the improvement of our health.

For example, some of the most famous are veganism and vegetarianism, which are two currents that promote a life free of meat or animal products.

During the years, more and more people have adopted these two lifestyles and as a result, the force of the free-meat diet has been so powerful that many businesses such as the fast food giants have begun to take action to attract the growing public and adapt to these new trends. Therefore, these diets are not only affecting individuals but are having a great impact on companies such as those in the food and textile sector. In addition, these diets serve as a way to make people aware of the environment and motivate them to contribute to its improvement and care.

On the other hand, Kangen water is another trend that contributes to the improvement of diet and health. It is a new type of water that undergoes a process to make it pure and alkaline and as a consequence its PH increases (it has to be greater than seven). Nowadays, it has been proved that this phenomenon brings a series of benefits for the human being's health, such as: more hydration, it helps to eliminate body fat, it reduces the probability of suffering diseases such as cancer and so on.

Faced with this scenario, the option of leading a healthier life is increasingly common, however, in the desire to change certain habits, people constantly make mistakes by following types of diet that are not recommended or sustainable in the long term and therefore trigger in frustration, abandonment of purpose and even the appearance of some diseases.

One that has become very famous is the Keto diet which is proven by experts not to be a sustainable diet. It is a diet that prohibits carbohydrates so that your body burns fat more quickly. However, the rebound effect it has is something that people do not take into account as the speed of weight gain also increases.

As a conclusion, food is a subject that has provoked great interest throughout history. This interest, together with a certain amount of ignorance, has favoured the development of numerous errors and myths about food, which have unjustifiably led to a change in the behaviour and eating habits of many people.

Furthermore, beliefs, new trends and different opinions are spreading in our society at a high speed because of the type of advertising we are currently subjected to.

However, thanks to the scientific and technological basis available to us, it is possible to dismantle these beliefs, using the opinions and advice of true nutrition and health professionals.

That is why it is very important to be aware of the importance of eating a balanced and healthy diet but always making sure that it is truly beneficial for us.
