Bray to Greystones cliff walk

This walk is one of the highlights of walking in Ireland. It is approximately 7 Kilometres and takes around 2.5 hours to walk, the route takes you from Bray to Greystones along the gorgeous coastal path. The pathway laid out is well maintained and is located near the rail line so you can return by dart to the starting point. It is around 25 minute walk from the dart to start the cliff walk and you make your way to the beach from Bray station then follow the beach south all the way to the end. The walk starts here and you have great views of the sea on your left and the hillside on the right. The views from the cliff are beautiful and the surface can get stony at times so I would recommend wearing runners as they are probably the best shoes to wear as the path is very well maintained but during the winter parts can be quite muddy whereas in the summer its completely dry.

After the long walk you end up in Greystones and can experience the beautiful scenery Greystones has to offer along with plenty of places to eat at the end such as the happy pear. After your walk if you need to cool down you can bring togs and enjoy a swim at the sandy and small pebble beach in Greystones. If you don’t want to do the full walk you can alternatively park your car at the free car park at Raheem park and begin your journey from there , this will take about a kilometre off the walk.

When walking keep an eye out for some of the wildlife that inhabits the cliffs. There is a big array of birds that live on the cliff and on a sunny day you can see lizards basking in the sun. The water around the cliff also has an exciting array of natives such as dolphins and basking sharks.
