How dental implants work

Once your dental implants are in place, they will start to integrate with the jaw bone. Some people are suitable for having immediate temporary teeth placed, whilst for others, it is best to leave the implant site to heal for a few months – your dentist will discuss the best option for you.

How to care for dental implants and new teeth

Your dentist will give you aftercare instructions in the immediate aftermath of implant surgery. This will include avoiding propping the implant site and using any mouth wash or saltwater as recommended. Once your dental implants have healed, and your new teeth are in place, the key to looking after them is good oral hygiene, including regular check-ups at our clinic.
