How to finish fridge leftovers ? Easy leftovers recipes ideas

How to finish fridge leftovers ?

Discover these easy leftovers recipes ideas to cook the most frequent leftovers

It's Sunday night, and your fridge is empty after the weekend, there are only leftovers. It is 8:00 pm and dinner time has struck. Wondering how to finish fridge leftovers? How to enhance leftovers? Luckily, we're here to save you and to give you some common leftovers recipes ideas.

Basically, the most common leftovers are always things bought or cooked in large quantities. Are you part of the team who often say “I always cook too much pasta” ? or to the team "I buy an extra bread, just in case"? Don't panic, follow the guide to discover how to enhance leftovers and transform them into pleasure meals.

Rice

Travel to Japan for an evening cooking delicious Cantonese rice. Adopt the recipe of

yummly.com, my favorite 👍

Pastas

Because there is never enough pasta in the pot, and always too much at the end of the meal, go for the "pasta frichti". The idea is simple: a drizzle of olive oil in the pan, add a few vegetables of your choice (tomatoes, carrots, leeks, preferably seasonal vegetables!) And serve it all with a few grated cheese. A must-have that gives you a hard time when you are wondering how to finish fridge leftovers as they should.

Potatoes

Has the weekend raclette left its mark? three potatoes are desperately dying in your fridge?

Immediatly, cut them into rings, a few minutes in the pan with a drizzle of olive oil and a chopped onion, and you're done! a rustic pan worthy of the greatest restaurants. You can also add grilled bacon to further enhance these leftovers potatoes.

Overripe vegetables

Have a soup party! Enhancing your overripe vegetables by ma

king delicious soups. Count 650 g of vegetables for 1L of water. Add spices, herbs to highlight the taste, and it's ready 😀

Cheese

Sunday evening, 19.00 pm. You have a mad desire to improvise an aperitif, but there is only a vulgar package of grated cheese left in the fridge. Take your chance, and make delicious gougères to impress your guests (or just yourself).

Make a puff pastry in 5 minutes with this recipe. Add your Gruyere to the preparation and bake at 200 ° C for 30min. Have fun ! 🧀

Eggs

Fried egg, scrambled egg, soft-boiled egg, hard-boiled egg ... You will inevitably find an idea for a meal with eggs lying around. Check out this article to know the perfect cooking time according to your cooking desires ;)

Yogurt

Yoghurt is “the must”. We often operate on autopilot during shopping. And yogurts are often the essential to buy. But for all that, there is always one lying around in the fridge. So whether you are more sweet or savory, adopt these two recipe ideas to save them ;)

Yoghurt sauce

to accompany the raw vegetables : mix yogurt, salt, pepper, herbs, spices and you're done! you will get a delicious homemade sauce to dip in raw vegetables or to accompany any dish that is a little too dry.

The yoghurt cake

for an express breakfast : a pot of yogurt, a pot of honey, 3 pots of wholemeal flour, ½ pot of coconut oil, 3 eggs, a packet of yeast, and after doing 40min of sunbathing in 180 ° C in the oven, you get a soft and healthy cake for a breakfast or an express snack!

Overripe Fruits 🍌🍏🍑

Do you remember the marmelade from your childhood that your grandmother made? Aaah, our grandparents always had infallible tips to finish the fridge leftovers , and especially to enhance them!

So peel all the overripe fruit that you find in your fridge, put them in a pan with a little water and a little vanilla sugar, simmer over low heat for 30 to 45 minutes and enjoy this wonderful dish. In addition, you'll kill two birds with one stone by following the Batch cooking trend ;)

Bread

Among the recipe ideas made from leftover bread, French toast remains the most famous. Here is my favorite recipe to enhance your stale bread.

  • Put 500g of the bread of your choice in 1L of milk. Rest for 30min minimum.
  • Mix 4 eggs in a bowl and add 250g of sugar.
  • Then, knead the bread and the milk with your hands and add it to the previous preparation.
  • Put the fruits of your choice to enhance the taste (apricots, peaches, pears, bananas ...)
  • Leave in a mold during 55min at 200°C.

Enjoy your meal !

How to finish fridge leftovers ? Easy leftovers recipes ideas

Posted by Laura Ruellé on Feb 17, 2021 2:52:55 AM
