TOP 10 CHEAP DUBLIN EATS for under €10

In just a weeks time, new government regulations allow for travel within our county or within a 20km radius. The perfect time and excuse to get out our 5km areas and try some of the foods we've been longing for (within the comfort of our counties). 

For the people who want to live their best lives and have good vibes while on a budget, these are the food spots for you.

REMEMBER, wear a facemask, maintain your 2M social distancing measures, wash your hands regularly and for God's sake, if there's a crowd use your own discretion. Would your mammy be proud of you if you met up with people from more than one household? No? Then don't do it. 

Rude Boy Burger- DBC Burger €9.50

We recommend their juicy double patty, bacon and cheese burger. Everything is right in the world after one bite of this mouthwatering morsel. Pretty much everything on their menu is under a tenner, so be adventurous and try them out!

Duck- Roast Duck with BBQ Pork €9.50

Home of Hong Kong style BBQ in Dublin. Duck serves up only the best quality dishes around. Their HK Roast Meat dish, you have the option of roast duck, BBQ pork, crispy pork belly, Cantonese soy chicken or boneless duck served with either rice, noodles or vegetables. A truly incredible bang for you buck bargain!

Di Fontaines- The Times Square XXX €5

Buy a 20" pie or buy a slice, why not two slices? For a fiver a slice, you can't beat that value. We recommend the Times Square slice with three types of cheese: mozarella, romano and ricotta. However, they boast a plethora of toppings from their "Delancey Slice" with ham, pepperoni and sausage or the dreaded ham and pineapple. All are welcome at Di Fontaines!

Umi Falafel- Sandwich Meal Deal €9

Umi's meal deal selection is second to none and well worth the excursion. A sandwich, a side salad (of you choice) and a drink for the low low cost of €9!? You can't argue with good health food at that price. But if that doesn't tickle your fancy, their menu has other assortments of combinations that I'm sure will please you.

Xian Street Food- Noodle Box €7

Noodles, spice and everything nice. Xian Street Food have you covered, excellent quick service, large portion sizes and mouthwatering dishes? Need we say more? If you're unsure what to get, the noodle box is has something for everyone, chicken, beef, prawn, duck? Sorted. If you want to try something new, we suggest the "Amber-Fire Szechuan Style", you won't regret it.

El Grito- 5 Tacos for €10

Five corn tortilla tacos with the filling of your choice for €10. A burrito bowl for €8 and a bowl of nachos for €8.50. Just trust me... go and try it for yourself. The experience changes you for the better. Technically not under a tenner but come on, your bank account thanks us anyway.

Queen of Tarts- Cakes, Tarts and Cheesecakes €4.50 per slice

As soon as I can break this 5km, you know where I'll be. In line getting some of these baked goods. Order a head of time and collect in store, you won't regret this royal treat.

Kakilang- Souffle Pancakes €8 or  Bubble Tea for €5

Doing delivery of their stellar desserts and signature bubble tea drinks, Kakilang is a a place you need to check out when lockdown lifts. A nice midweek treat that won't break the bank.

Arctic Stone- Banoffee Pie €5

Kings of the hand rolled ice cream, these guys have attempted Guinness world records and are innovating to be the first in ice cream drone delivery.  €5 for a regular or €7 for a large, toppings? Make it your way with their selection of toppings.

Murphy's Ice Cream- Medium Butterscotch €6.50

These guys have the most incredible flavours, from Dingle Gin to Sea Salt Ice Cream. A bit out there I know, but incredible stuff. All made from scratch, definitely a contender for when those Summer days are coming.
