If you have been spending most of your time on TIKTOK during your free time (we don’t judge) then you are definitely aware of this new phenomenon of spirituality, Law of attraction and crystal healing. While spirituality has always been a thing, SO MANY more people have been more and more interested in spiritual practises. There has been a huge surge of interest in this topic due to people sharing their crazy spiritual experience and practises thanks to tik tok.
OF COURSE YOU ARE SKEPTICAL
This sounds crazy right? All this nonsense of spirituality and certain crystals saving your mental wellbeing is really an, almost laughable, concept.
But let's face it, are you really doing anything else. I don’t know about you but I am sick of making banana bread to pass my time. Why don’t we at least have some insight to see what the fuss is all about. It isn’t for everyone but don’t knock spiritual practices until you try them. You never know it could change your life!
The Laws Of attraction
I know I had a go of a few spiritual practises during the lockdown and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The law of attraction is something that we can have a look into. I tried it on a boring Sunday afternoon, manifestation in particular. It ACTUALLY WORKS (whether its placebo effect or not). Manifestation in a nutshell is having the ‘universe’ work with you in having any desire that you wish.
The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. If you are skeptical as I once was you can take a look at the full rundown of the laws of manifestation here.

TRY CRYSTAL HEALING
if your not that motivated to meditate like me, it might be worth trying out a few crystals to aid in your mediation, manifestations, anxiety or mental well-being in general. I do not own any crystals myself so I am not aware of the benefits or if it even works or not. But I thought, there IS SO MANY accounts and stories circulating around social media on the benefits of crystals. Some people really do live by surrounding their everyday lives around crystals.

I decided to purchase handmade ‘healing candles’ online from an independent seller on etsy. The shop is called ‘sugar moon nights’ If you are interested in some crystal products, you should definitely check this seller out. She uses flowers from her own garden and you can see that she puts passion into all of her products.

This is called the 'good luck crystal candle'. it contains tigers eye and pyrite which is said to ward off negative energy and attract good luck,
The 'Love Candle' contains pink quartz which offers harmony, peace and has the power to heal negative emotions
the 'Prosperity Candle' contains aventurine and selenite which is said: It stimulates creativity and enhances perception, It draws in money and wealth vibration, It aides with decision making while clearing your mind of doubtIt helps with stabilizing your finances. And adorned with Pyrite, which carries said properties: It resonates with the second chakra to awake creativity in you.
i don't know about you, but i certainly wouldn't mind a bit more prosperity in my life😂
the 'happiness candle' is one of my personal favourites. it contains amethyst and clear Quartz candles. It is a great stone for healing, and enhancing mental capabilities. It reduces stress and self doubt bringing about happiness
The products' scents are beautiful, there isn't one that i don't like. They did take about 1 month to arrive but i think it's worth it because they are handmade. not to mention they are SUPER AFFORDABLE.
What i love about them is that i can retrieve the crystals from the candle after its burned all the way through so you can benefit from their energy indefinitely!
Reading … who would have thought
I NEVER thought i would see the day were i would start reading again, but with all of this spare time on my hands, i thought why not give it a try. It's so nice to get off of your phone or the TV and just read a book.
Reading does wonders for your mental wellbeing and is a form of meditation in it's own right. There is so many self-help books that people swear by. here is a list of some that i think you might like.
- the secret by rhonda byrne-i was recommended this book from a friend and it is an excellent book which helped me to open my eyes to the law of attraction and how you can use it to better your life.
If you are going to read any book to learn more about this universal law, i HIGHLY recommend reading this! - Braving the Wilderness: The quest for true belonging and the courage to stand alone. By Brené Brown. This book offers insight of how the world works, how one can find TRUE BELONGING in life. it encourages you to be your own person and not let other people actions hinder your thoughts. i truly learnt so much from reading this. here is an extract paragraph from the book that is so powerful:
'True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.'

It is super rare to come across a book that can change your life, but i do believe these books ARE PERFECT if you are starting out on a journey to better your mental health and live life with more fulfilment.
Get Off Your Phone
What better way to start then during lockdown were you may be struggling to find a purpose or you may be feeling a little low from being isolated. Staying off of social media does WONDERS trust me (from someone who couldn't go 1 minute without checking their phone).
