In the past years, English has become the most important language in the world but not everyone finds it easy to learn it. The most important concern when you are learning a new language is including it in your daily life, otherwise, you will not consolidate your knowledge and you will feel that you are not improving. As taking classes and revising grammar is quite boring (but also important) you can do other things in your free time to learn English. Adapt your life to the new language you are trying to learn by changing your mobile language or watching films or series in English is going to help and you don’t have to make huge efforts.

Today we’re giving you a few recommendations to improve your English while enjoying a good tv series on Netflix.

Bojack Horseman

BoJack Horseman is an adult animation tragicomedy that explains the life of an anthropomorphic horse called BoJack Horseman, a washed-up star of a 1990s sitcom who plans his return to celebrity relevance with an autobiography to be written by a ghostwriter. In this chaotic world, BoJack tries to find a place while giving us some hilarious puns. Also, word games and subtle “mini-shows” in the background make the best of this show.

Disenchantment

Not everything is fun in a fantasy world. Made by Matt Groening, Disenchantment shows the life of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naive elf companion Elfo, and her destructive "personal demon" Luci. All 3 together try to accomplish some of the most stupid missions with an interesting plot twist and well-developed characters. I have to say that the series premiere is the least funny episode, where Dreamland and its characters are introduced. Be patient. Once those are in place, and the writers and talent are allowed to have some fun, it works much better, and it’s the kind of show that gets more enjoyable as it goes along, revealing character through repeated jokes and just having more of a good time.

Brooklyn nine-nine

Set in the fictional 99th Precinct of the NYPD in Brooklyn, Brooklyn nine-nine is a sitcom following the lives of a group of detectives, including one slacker who is forced to shape up when he gets a new boss. Apart from having some awesome characters and internal jokes you will, for sure, use with your “Brooklyn-99 binge-watching” friends, it is also a tv series taking into account social issues. They treat them with respect although they always include their sense of humor, which makes it incredibly difficult not to think about them but without being heavy. That’s something unique in this show.

The end of the fucking world

This is the weirdest of the shows on this list. Watch this show if you want a frivolous, light crazy comic story that you can watch in one session. The end of the fucking world is about the story of a teenager who thinks he is a psychopath and how his best friend persuades him to embark on a road trip in search of her father. The non-sense situation, black humor, and the most shocking plot twist are in this show.

Sex Education

The last one in this list is about a teenager with problems with their parents, Otis, that teams up with a high-school classmate, Maeve, to set up a sex therapy clinic while struggling to deal with his ones. Sex Education deals with a variety of problems, questions, and stereotypes surrounding sex and gender, which are not only relevant to high school students. Although the approach to these things is often more playful or humorous, the resolve and advice are genuine and important.
