If you are a CEMS student, either at your home or exchange term you may be wondering, whats next? The corona virus has taken over almost all Universities of the program (and the world) and with it, the opportunity to give some closure with the people you met during the term. So here we are going to show you what you can do during this times with some tip & tricks on what to do during your quarantine time.
1. Download House Party
House Party is an app in which you can talk with your friends via your phone, its free and it has games on it. Since the recommendation of governments as of now is to stay home in order to stop the spread of the virus, this app is gaining wild traction and popularity since you can spend time with your friends and make your quarantime time a lot more easier.
2. Start your thesis
As you may know, the thesis is one of the most important works you have to do, at the end of your CEMS program. Right now, you can use your time being productive and start working on it, Netflix is not going anywhere...
3. Create a routine
Most people problem with quarantine is that its breaking their daily routine, waking up, having breakfast, going to uni and so on.. Don´t let the quarantine get in your head by creating a new routine in your home. You can always do inside exercises in the morning which will not only help you stay in form, but also relieve stress.
4. Focus on the positives
It can be easy to get overwhelmed by all the news spreading, and we all know bad news hit us the hardest. For that, try to find some good news to counter the negativity around the subject, such as: "the decline of new cases in China".
Then again, remember you are part of the CEMS and with it, know that you are not alone, if you feel lonely or need some help, don´t doubt about calling/emailing your programme manager so you can find some help in this hard times.
