Why adopting a healthy lifestyle is important?

Having a healthy life isn't just about eating well. It's not just exercising. A healthy lifestyle is characterized by a balance in every way. Because I like to take a holistic view of the issues I address, "healthy living" is no exception. There is no point in having a segmented view of a subject because it does not allow you to see the whole reality of the subject.

For example, it is useless to focus only on seduction techniques to go in search of a girl. If you are shy, you have to consider the whole thing. You have to find out why you consider yourself shy, how to change this belief, how to gain self-esteem, how to make your social circle grow, how to increase your charisma and, why not, seduction techniques. But they are only a small part of the equation. That is why I am going to focus today on presenting to you the five pillars, in my opinion, of a healthy life.

How to live a healthy lifestyle?

Everyone knows that a healthy diet is essential to stay in shape and keep a dynamic figure. But how do you adopt a healthy lifestyle? Here are a few tips to help you forget your bad habits for good.

Start today!

There is no right time to start living healthier. Do you feel ready to make a change by incorporating new habits into your daily routine? Start today!

Tip 1 - FOODhttps://twitter.com/welleat

Eliminate as much sugar as possible from your eating habits. It's a big challenge. Start by banning sugar bombs like soft drinks, candy, and other snacks. Out of sight, out of mind: by not buying anymore, you won't be tempted to consume them at home.

Do the same with ready meals and instant soups. These products contain preservatives, added sugars and lots of salt.

BE CAREFUL of ALCOHOL! Drinking a lot is one of the worst risk factors for many diseases. This means more than 2 glasses of alcohol a day for men, more than one for women. A glass of red wine is a good thing, but drinking too much increases your risk of disease.

But, very important, don't forget to drink water!

Tip 2 - STRESS

Reduce stress. Stress is a risk factor for heart disease and high blood pressure, which is itself a risk factor for stroke. Simplify your workday so you don't feel too stressed, and play sports to relieve stress.

The secret is not a secret: our grandmothers' best remedy for dealing with the daily pressure was... to take the time. Global well-being favored not by slowness, but by taking meaningful breaks! Follow the example of our ancestors and treat yourself to real lunch breaks. Leave the office, sit down at a table... and give yourself time to eat. Savor the food, drink and chew slowly. A quality break is a lasting stress reliever. And provides you, by the way, with energy and motivation to get through an intense day!

Tip 3 - SLEEP

Take care of your sleep: identify your sleep cycles, use blue light filters on your computer and phone (f.lux application), turn off the screens 2 hours before you go to sleep, wake up at times that are consistent for you and you'll be in Olympic shape just by doing this.

You don't necessarily need to sleep 8 hours, that's a myth. Usually, sleep cycles last 90 minutes, so you can decide to sleep 6 hours, 7.5 hours or 9 hours.

If you take naps after eating and you know how to manage your stress, your emotions, that you do sports and that you eat light enough in the evening and far from bedtime, you will need much less sleep!

Invest in good bedding, sleep completely in the dark, meditate before you go to sleep, then read a good book and let Morpheus take you in. You can eventually use intelligent sleep applications such as Sleep Cycle.

Tip 4 - PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Physical exercise has several benefitsMove around for half an hour every day, to stay in shape. Therefore, I recommend walking which is the most practical and which will suit even beginners. For the bravest, do not hesitate to do regular running sessions. Regular physical activity has many, sometimes unsuspected, benefits:

  • It allows you to be in a good physical condition which, beyond improving your sports performance, will make your daily life easier.
  • It protects against the onset of cardiovascular diseases (myocardial infarction and angina pectoris), regardless of age.
  • It protects against certain cancers, in particular, breast cancer in women, prostate cancer in men and colon cancer in both sexes.
  • It reduces the risk of diabetes and helps to better balance blood sugar levels (glycemia).
  • It helps keep blood pressure stable.
  • It is effective in maintaining a healthy weight and may reduce the risk of obesity.
  • It reduces the risk of low back pain.
  • It improves sleep.
  • It fights effectively against stress, depression, anxiety.
  • It improves the aging process and protects against loss of autonomy.

Tip 5 - POSITIVE ATTITUDE

Something vital to cultivating a positive mind is your ability to see life in a positive light. In general, people tend to amplify negative situations and put positive points into perspective. But all this happens in our brains, and the good news is that our thought patterns are infinitely changeable! You'll be surprised how often something considered insurmountable turns out, in the end, to be achievable. The next time you are faced with a problem, take a step back from the situation. Become a spectator of your thoughts. List the negative and positive points, and try to list 3 things you could do to turn the negative into positive. One of the strengths of putting things in a new perspective is that it is a universal method: it is as important and effective to apply it in the small daily events of your life as it is in the big moments. https://www.success.com/you-can-overcome

Adopting a healthy lifestyle is above all a philosophy of life, to feel better, more in tune with one's environment, but also with one's mind and body. I promise, limiting (even a little) your consumption of processed products, it works for everyone. But more seriously, to live healthy is not to deprive oneself of everything or not to give oneself any distance.

To be healthy, you don't need to be on a diet. If you're overweight, learn to eat properly and adopt a healthy lifestyle instead, without depriving yourself. You'll find that your pounds will go away faster than you thought! There's no point in making yourself unhappy on a diet that doesn't motivate you, just be happy by eating properly! Because nothing beats a healthy mind in a healthy body!

So remember, have fun and live healthily!
